COVID-19: COMPANY STATEMENT dated March 17
The public health emergency situation caused by the COVID-19 declared by the WHO, together with the measures decreed by the Government of Spain to face this exceptional situation, have required SEDEM to adopt a protocol of actuation, whose objectives are:
1. Protect the health of our employees, customers, suppliers and other collaborators, contributing, in solidarity, to prevent the spread of the virus to society.
2. Review and adapt processes and procedures, as well as technological resources, to ensure the full operation of the organization and its supply chain.
On the one hand, internal measures have been issued for continued disinfection of facilities and contact equipment (keyboards, phones, etc.), personal hygiene and interpersonal distance. Similarly, the making and receiving of commercial visits has been postponed.
On the contrary, we maintain the reception of materials for manufacturing and finished products, as well as the transport service to the customer, thus ensuring their supply, while no limitation has been decreed for the transport of goods in Spain and abroad. Along these lines, our represented partners and regular suppliers express themselves in the same way.
At the operational level, SEDEM applies flexibility working schedule and teleworking of part of the staff, without less quality of the service that SEDEM has been providing for more than forty years. Meanwhile this emergency situation is maintained, working hours will be as follows:
Sales team (regular time): Monday to Thursday from 8:30 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. and Friday from 8:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m.
Technical office, production and administration: Monday to Thursday from 8:00 a.m. to 5:45 p.m.
